At first, when I used to get dropped off to school, I always wondered what it would be like to walk to school. I had walked to school before, but I was usually accompanied by my brother. I wanted to know what it would be like to walk alone.
My opportunity came soon. My family and I moved to a different house, and my school was nearby, so they decided that I could walk by myself. I was VERY excited!
The first couple of weeks, everything was really great. The sun was shining brightly in the morning, the cars rushing by, and beautiful flowers were in bloom. Then after the pleasant few weeks, winter had come. Everything seemed so dull, walking got tiring, and it was really windy. After that came the rain. My parents decided to buy me a poncho, which was humongous. Not to mention a very bright shade of green. Eek, I had to run to school and back. It was difficult with my backpack =__=”.
There were lots of things I didn’t think about when I wanted to walk to school. Time to time, I miss going home in a car, but there are lots of pleasant things about walking to school. I’ve seen lots of new places, built up my patience and came to understand a little bit more about planet Earth. /First post [:
